Well we were able to make it happen this morning !! Although we had a good day yesterday with 3 long beards, 3 jakes and 7 hens we were not able to make it happen. Came close because the strutter ran one of the other toms off and he came close to presenting a shot. He decided to not go yesterday evening so I ventured alone only to have a trespasser run the birds out of the field 
It was 18:15 hrs when that happened so I packed up and headed home as my ultimate goal was to get my father his first bird !
Got in this morning and the birds were roosted in the same spot, got set up and at 06:08 the action started !! Only one bird gobbling 8-9 times on the roost but he pitched down rite in the decoys !! 25 yrd shot and his first birds is now a memory 18.11 lbs, 8 3/4 beard with 7/8 spurs !! I could have stayed and tried getting a bird myself but I had decided this was his weekend. All in all I have had an excellent season so far with getting my nephew a bird on juvy hunt and my dad his bird !! Guess who's turn it is next !!!!! lol
