I finally figured out what this new era of turkey hunting is similar to, and that is whatever new country music is.
Sam Hunt = Fanning
Florida-Georgia Line = Strutters
Chase Rice = Blinds
Locash, Luke Bryan, Thomas Rhett, and Old dominion= the mishmash of decoys being sold.

Old school Johnny Cash, Waylon, etc all make up the old breed

Lol same here as you on the sports radio. I've been told I'm boring because of it but I would rather jab Lead pencils in my ear drum than listen to 98% of today's music

Im am sports radio guy as well, but have toned down in that too. I honestly do not really listen to anything.

But I bought a Ben Lee cd off midwest turkey supply, and I can about quote it all. I had the old cassette tape for years, but I put it away and now listen to the cd.
It's called Turkey stories and Mexican hunt I think. It also has two turkey hunts on the end. I still enjoy listening to that dude. As far as I know, he's one of the founders of the calling them up type. Or at least the one that made it popular. Decoys and reaping tactics weren't around in his day, I'm not sure what his stance on those would be.
I also have one of the NWTF promotional vhs videos and it has a hunt with him in it. It's probably from 1994 or so.

I also read the tenth legion about January every year, as well as Many other Tom Kelly books.
