Started with a old 870 20 ga Express with Fed HW 7's and killed several birds, next year added the M4 style stock, skipped year due to broken leg, then before last season switched to TSS and IC .555 and killed 3 birds with it although the POI was off, since last spring added a SumToy mount and FF3 and had the barrel cut to 18.5" and re-threaded. She is light, handy, I can adjust the POI to the POA and as long as the pattern didn't change (haven't shot yet) will put 300+ in the 10" at 40 yds. Took me a while to lay my 10 ga BPS down for good but sold it the year broke leg so all in with sub 12 bores now and love it after being accustomed to toting a fence post around.

That is a cool gun. I'd like to build something similar for my daughters, mainly for compactness and adjustable stock.

Who cut the barrel down and threaded it for you? How much does it weigh like it sits (unloaded)?

Looks superlight...a joy to carry. Seems like it might be a kicker...does that recoil pad come in handy?

Rose Action Sports did the barrel work for $110 with 2.5 week turn around time; excellent work IMO. Weighs in at 5.6 lbs on my fish scales, adjustable stock is nice but have to make sure that don't get too short as that raised flange right behind the pistol grip will make a nice gash on your cheek. It does kick but once I figured out the best length of pull it isn't any worse that than any other turkey gun at least not before I cut the barrel and I will know more about that this weekend. My daughters are turning 10 next week and they are still on the .410 with TSS right now but I wouldn't hesitate to let them shoot it with a 2 3/4" Fed HW or maybe a 1 3/8 oz TSS load if they wanted too.

I like it. I'm gonna send my wingmaster barrel to him after season and let him cut it and choke it. Tried to get my a5 done but it's over bored too much for standard 12 gauge choke system
