I got a lee classic turret press kit. And i've loaded 5 rounds for the .30-06 using 180gr hornady interlock with 44 grains of varget as a starting load. Whats a good powder load with the 180 gr interlock using varget or superformance? Also i shoot factory superformance thru my .270 win 130gr sst, but i cant find any load data for the .270 using superformance powder. Would it be wise to weigh the powder from a factory load to get a starting load? And another question, how do i get my once fired brass shiney? I have a lyman turbo 1200 tumbler, wondering what the best media is? The walnut cleans them ok, but kinda leaves a dull finish. Any suggestions input would be greatly appreciated!

I use corn cob media with alittle squirt of polish added. This really makes them shine. Ive even cleaned some old brass I found laying around from years ago and it will clean it off. Ive read walnut is very dusty. Have seen some mix walnut and cob.

Walnut media does indeed leave a residue an dit will build up inside your sizing die and start leaving permanent scratches in your brass. Get a sonic cleaner (Harbor Freight). Sequence:
Decap using a universal decapper. tumble in media. Sonic clean and dry, size, prime, load.

Thanks guys. Does anybody have a good recipe for the .270 win with a 130 gr. sst bullet. The factory superformance shoot around a 1.5" group at 200yds out of my weatherby vanguard with an old bushnell trophy. Maybe when i run out of shells they'll have some load data for it.

IMR4350 goes with the 270 like butter on cornbread. Surf to here and have fun.

X2. I've used IMR4350 in several rounds between .243 and .308 and it works very well in all of them. The most accurate rifle I own is a .270 Browning A-Bolt using max load of IMR4350 with 130 gr Nosler BT, and I'm sure it will work great with the 130 SST. In fact, I have a box of 130 gr .277 SST in my shop, waiting to be loaded up.
