Went out to Mtn Top Shooting Range with a buddy and sent a couple hundred rounds downrange a while ago. And yes, it was still cold! The wind was brutal at times. Had to put the new to me Cabela's Parka, that I got from a TnDeer member a few weeks ago, to work! Had to have my fleece gaiter as well, and parka was zipped to the top. Did I mention it was still cold out there? There's still snow on the ground out there even! 🥶

Well, the local forecast changed during the night and instead of having sunshine for the first half of the day it will be overcast/cloudy and the afternoon/evening/nighttime rain is still in. High temp will be mid 40s but no wind. That might be bearable and I'll give it a go.

It's getting to where I'm going to have to shoot in adverse conditions to get any practice in, which is a good thing, and really helps when facing similar conditions during matches, but the older I get, the harder it is to make myself get out in it. This morning I'm dragging and coughing more than usual bc of a good few hours out in it.

I may try to shoot the 6.5 NM today. Would like to get it sighted in this week. Next couple months, I can't imagine I will be doing much.
Also have some glass due here this week for the little Henry.
Before I know it, it will be hay season...and hot!!
Need to get this stuff taken care of.

I did the same yesterday but with centerfire. After 2 hrs my hands were getting pretty numb!
I broke out my fingerless hunting gloves, the ones with the mitten covers. Worked pretty well, but they got in the way for reloading so I took them off. I would keep my hands in my coat pocket for a few minutes at a time and was good to go that way.
