Try the BSK mock scrape recipe... I know its still early but I guess in my head I was thinking try it early so if you spook the deer off you'll have time to let it settle down before the hunting gets good...Basically I just wanted to finally see if deer were spooked by human urine. This particular tree has had 3 scrapes around it the last 2 years so I thought it would be a perfect test candidate. They was 0 scrapes or rubs that I could see in this spot when I made it. It has never been baited with anything food/salt in this area to draw the deer in. When I returned to check the camera yesterday they were at least 7 rubs and one new scrape on a different tree all in sight of my mock scrape.


I made this Mock scrape under the small beech straight in front of the camera at 5:30PM on SEPT. 21 I had 7 different bucks and 2 does come through and smell it in the first 12 hours.

G Man, The BSK mock scrape recipe is make a mock scrape & instead of using store bought scents to put in it just urinate in it yourself. Set your camera up & enjoy the show.
 
Still to this day, my friends don't believe me. One of my friends films and produces for one of these big hunting shows. I will tell him that and I can just tell out of all their reactions, they just don't believe me. There is a silence and they go onto something else. To each their own

I think it's just so foreign to a lot of old hunters because we been carrying darn pee bottles to the stand for years as that was what I was taught at a young age... It was just something I had to try for myself to completely believe it, like BSK said... Now I'm running into the woods because I'm holding it till I get to a scrape! LOL

Phew, I'm glad I finally learned what this was all about. I had this turrible picture that something about BSK was magical and all you guys were lining up with bottles to collect it.

Used to have nightmares just thinking about it.
 
Made this small scrape with my own pee along an old log-skidder trail about 2 PM. That evening, around 6 PM got this picture:

 
Getting lots of pics over one i made the last two weeks. Most are bucks. I now use BSK Code Yeller on all my mock scrapes.
