Went for a jog this evening and finally saw a hen with poults. She had 8 of them and they were getting on up in size. Good to see that.

I almost hit one on 96 when it flew off roost yesterday morning into the middle of the road...
that is the first one I've seen.
The 9 hens I have on my property are still there, but trail cam pics show 0 poults...I believe it is time to whack and stack, some nest raiders.

Think you're right on the nest raiders. Was working out earlier in my little building out back and all of a sudden my dog took off. I peeked out and she was chasing a hen that eventually flew into a tree. Dog came back and about 5 minutes later I hear turkey clucking. She's maybe 30 yards away and I tell my dog to stay and she does but she's on full alert ready to pounce. All that to say the hen didn't have a single poult with her.
