After a week of seeing turkeys everyday but getting no shots, I finally had a classic hunt. Set up on the side of a ridge trying to call one up to me from the hollow below. Had two sneak in from behind me and started "putting" before I even knew they were there. Eventually they left, so I moved to another location, and began to work two more gobblers, one on each side of the point of a finger ridge. Within 10 minutes I had one work up the hill, across a small food plot, and down the logging road I was sitting beside. After a few minutes, he figured he had been snuckered, and began to turn off the road and head down the ridge. I waited until his head was behind a tree, and got set. When he popped out, the 3.5 #5s hit their mark and the rest was history.
