First birds ever seen on my place...

in the springtime that is! I went Sat morning and had 3 come in and hold up about 60yds out. Then one came to within 40, but the other two stayed well out. I'm pretty sure one was a good tom, way bigger than the other 2. This is the first birds I've seen on my property during spring turkey season ever! Pretty cool.

Oh, and even at 40 yds, it was thick as all get out in there. No fields around me, just woods.

I killed one Saturday in a field that I've never seen them in during spring time. You're right, it is pretty cool when that happens. I got one spot that has never had turkeys at any time until last year. Haven't been there this year to check it out though.

I might not have even been out there this past Sat, except I heard one gobbling the Sat before while out painting and posting the back line. That spurred me to get out there for sure, and it was really cool to finally see some at least on my place during season.
