Anyone have pics of their firs bow kills? Can add more detail, pics, and story. I got a great buck that was also my first bow kill and first bow season. I shot this buck 12 years ago with a Golden Eagle Sparrowhawk set somewhere around 45-50lb. Heavy alumn. easton arrow and I think Satellite broadheads from wal-mart. I had the brass pin sights that liiked like pencils sticking out. I hunted behind my house and this day I was by myself. I had a new Warren and Sweet stand and I packed it down to the back of the property and set it up on a trail. The tree had a knot so I was only able to get about 8ft up. I get set up and 4 deer come across the creek and I knew 2 were bucks. Just so happened the 12pt walked out first and I launched a super heavy slow easton his way. Instantly the buck hit the ground, spine shot and less than 10 yards. I was 14 when I took this buck and it has led me to a lifetime love of the outdoors. Some thing you never will forget. Bow season cant get here fast enough. :)

Cool story! My first bow shot deer was when I was 12 yrs old, my first year of Bow hunting. I had a lil bear mini magnum set at 45 lbs I think it was. Little Easton 1916 alum arrows and a big 6 blade wasp broadhead. I have no idea how I came up with this combination, but being the only Archery hunter in the family at the time I had no idea what I was doing! I somehow safely got about 12 ft high in my old Baker stand that day, and I shot a young 60 lb doe through the neck, and I was so happy I couldnt stand it! I too remember it like it was yesterday.

first bow kill was in 1989, i was twelve years old and it was my first deer hunt of any kind. i missed three times before a 65 lb doe finally got in the way of one of my arrows. i was using a robinhood bow i bought at the walmart and wearing jeans and a tshirt. man i sure made it alot simpler back than

Awesome buck , Lungbuster! My first bow kill was only a 3 pt. Michigan buck back in 1981 , but I was proud of it at the time . Back then , we only had one tag for a buck or a doe and QDM was unheard of .

my first one was a spike, quartering away, used the wrong pin, hit it right behind the left ear...dropped it in its tracks.

Little embarrassing haha, but you gotta start somewhere lol

my first was 5 years ago, first year archery hunting. I had just joined a lease in Hickman Co that cost me $600 and had hunted it pretty hard for the first 3 weeks of season (4 hr drive each wa5y). Anyhow, I had read the night before that during a full moon deer ate more likely to move around midday so I decided to give a patch of woods I had permission to hunt 5 minutes from my house a shot. Never scouted or stepped foot on the place before. Got into a tree at 11:15 and while I was pulling up my bow 3 does started making their way to me from about 75 yds. I got my bow and by the time I nocked an arrow I had one 20 yds broadside. Twack!! I was back at the house in just a little over an hour. Needless to. say, I caught hell and still do from the wife for driving to middle TN to hunt when "you killed your first one in the dang back yard " LOL

First deer (was also bow deer) and a double at that.

Killed at the old VAAP WMA in Chattanooga, my first year hunting. Three doe came walking down the side of a thicket that I hunting.

I shot the biggest at 5 yards, nocked another arrow and shot the next biggest when she stopped at 30 yards. Then, I about SHOOK out of my tree! Talk about buck fever... and it was two does!

There is no way I will ever forget that day! To this day, there are still many nights I will drift off to sleep thinking about that hunt. :)

shot my first doe in 2004 in the jaw from 20 yards with a rocket steelhead, died under my buddies treestand 15 ft later

1980 on my first bow hunting trip. Bought a PSE from Wal-Mart for $99.00 dollars. Hot shot release, arrows out of a box at Wal-Mart. Set it up myself and practiced in the back yard into a bale of hay. Went opening morning and hunted from the ground when a group of does came walking through. First shot went high and smacked into an old fence post. WRONG PIN! Deer stood there long enough for me to nock another arrow. Smoked her with the next shot. Hooked for life.

My first kill was in 2005. I missed once before that, and shot another that I couldn't find. I finally got the job done on a Monday morning. The previous evening, I had watched a mom and little one come down the hill about 50 yds from where I expected. I moved my stand accordingly and came back the next morning. About 9:00 i stood up and stretched and prepared to get down and head to school as I was already late (still in high school). I grabbed my bow to put it on my rope and happened to look up and see the same mom and little one headed down the hill right at me. I shot the big doe at about 15 yards but hit her WAY too far back. I watched her run about 20 yards down into the creek and never come back out. I could see blood pooling in the creek, but had no clue how or why. After what seemed like forever I got down and walked to the creek and she was laying dead in the water. I got lucky and cut the femoral artery. Been hooked ever since!

Age 12 I think, lol long time ago. 4 point with bear whitetail gave $50 for it used at a pawn shop. Easton gamegetter 2117 w/ sovora BH. Baker climbing stand bear hugging. My chest would be raw after the first week of season. lol

My first was a little doe, took 6 years of bowhunting to get that doe and I was extremely pround, still haven't taken a buck yet
