Had a good hunt this morning. Gobbled good till about 7 then got in the woods moving around and thought the day was done because last gobble was a good piece off. They decided all at once to come out into field. Tom headed towards strutter & hen decoy. Jake wasn't far behind him.

Counted 18 hens with this guy and 1 jake.

Love that box call. Mine has been a good one, several birds I wouldn't have killed unless I'd had Mr. Clift's call. Is he still living or do you know where I could get my hands on another one of his box calls?

Congrats HatchieHunter and welcome to TNDeer. Curious to know if you're a fellow Hardeman Countian?

I grew up there. I now live in lauderdale county. We have actually met before but has been several years back.

Pretty sure he is still living but don't think he is making calls anymore. They are great sounding calls and if you've ever met "Uncle Robert" he is a great man and even better story teller.

I met him years ago @ his house. A friend of mine gave me his address & he brought me in his home & sold me a call sitting on his couch. Brought a complete stranger in his home to sell a call to, a good man he is.
