The Osceola's were hot Saturday morning, had birds on three sides of me. I called in the birds behind me and they skirted around to my right side. Saw his head rapid rotating right and left looking for me and made and easy shot when he got in front of me. Use one of my custom slate calls and a Albert Paul box call. Good morning to be in the woods, one more to go.

Congrats! I love your calls!

Thanks Mark for the comment on the calls. nothing better than a custom call. I saw that you are an attorney in Knoxville, did you happen to go to University of Memphis School of Law?

Congrats!

Were you spinning around your tree? Those are always fun hunts!

Congrats on a great bird. Who makes that custom slate call? It looks awesome.

I make my own friction calls, found it was the best way to get the sounds that I wanted. I use crystal for the sound board, most call makers use glass. I think you get more volume and a crisper sound. I turn the calls for fun and do not sell them, it would take the fun out of making calls.
