it was the late afternoon of the second day. We decided to head back to what I called the north ranch where one of our guys killed that morning just to hear them roost for the morning hunt. We sat under a post oak in this little clearing. After about 30 mins we did some yelps, nothing. 15 mins later yelped again with an instant gobble very close. Some more soft yelps we see a red head above bushes 50 yds up a little hill. He steps out in the opening and blows up in full strut with the sun directly on him. It was a beautiful sight and he looked like the biggest gobbler I've ever seen. After a 5 min show he walked to within 35 yds from me and my nerves couldn't take anymore. One shot dirt rolled him.

About 20 lbs with 9" beard and 1" spurs

Congrats Anthony!! Sounds like a trip I'd like to take.
