First time in 5ish years

I went fishing at our new house. The lake is full of fish! Lol. I had no idea
I managed to pull two out in about 15 min before dinner was ready. They were both real close to the same size. But it kinda got me wanting to try a little harder! Lol first fish ever from the kayak. That was different! Good times ahead!

Congrats on the house and the fish. Is the pond on your property entirely or do you share the lake with other property owners?

It's shared lake. I believe it may be some type of old strip mine? Idk. It's 4-500 yards wide and 3/4 mile long. One side is bordered by 2 owners, that side has no dwellings on them. On my side I have a long narrow, long 7 acres and the corner is owned by a neighbor.
We love it.
the lake is packed out with snapping turtles though. Not sure how bad that it but I can always count a dozen sitting on a log somewhere in the lake.
