It was time to renew my license and it cost me basically $50 a year as a nonresident. That includes all inland fish including trout. I have a lifetime license for Tennessee but if I didn't, it's actually cheaper to trout fish in N.C. as a nonresident than it is for a resident in TN! Crazy!
ever trout fish a river above Franklin NC?

When i was living in East TN and buddies would come in from out of state to fish, I'd always tell them to get the NC license instead of TN. It's reciprocal in the Smoky's and if we fished in the NF, we'd cross the state line before starting.
