I have a couple of deer/hog hides in the freezer I want to get some usable leather from for a few bright ideas I have.
I don't have time to do it myself, but haven't had much luck asking around. I live in the Chattanooga/Cleveland area.
Any recommendations for someone semi close to here than can handle fleshing and tanning the hides?

....try searching the internet for tannerys that you can ship to...there are two or three I've read about before...years ago a buddy of mine shipped an otter hide to be soft tanned...turned out nice.... Cost vary based on what you want. Some do hair on tanning only while some offer hair off. I'm guessing the hog hide will be more expensive than the deer. Good luck with your project.
