I am thinking about fletching my own arrows and want some advice. What type fletcher is best? I wondered about the Arizona easy fletch. Also I shoot a whisker biscuit with 2 inch vanes what is the best helical for this setup. I have read you don't want to fletch them straight. I appreciate any input.

You can't go wrong with a Bitzenberger jig. They are a bit more costly but it will be still be around when you're not. Andd if you decide to get out of shooting you can sale it and get most of your money back. I used an Arizona jig twice, first and last. I don't like them but I am spoiled by my Bitz. I can't really answer about what the best helical is for a biscuit, cause I have never shot a biscuit. But I do know it is best to shoot some type of helical on your fletchings. I have read here that some of the guys use as much helical as they can get. Now which helical is better is personal choice. I use left wing helical. First because that was what the first jig I bought was. Then as I shot more and experimented more, I found that left wing fletching seems to clear more rests better than right wing does. That was before the drop away rest and a whisker biscuit. Hope this helps. Good luck and enjoy fletching your own shafts.

+1 for the Bitzenburger. Your not going to get much helical on a 2" vane any way. You can fletch them straight with some offset if you want. However you do it put a drop of glue on the front of the vane. That will keep the WB from pulling it loose.

I have had a Bitzenburger with a RH clamp for 25 years now , and it still works like it did when it was new . Best investment I have made since I started bowhunting . It paid for itself in a very short time .

+2 for Bitzenburger. I bought the cheaper Bohning used it on one arrow and took it back. The bitz is the best, but it is a little expensive. I shoot 2 inch quickspin (not helical)i just offset them and it does great.
