I'm fairly new to archery and just got a bow earlier this summer. I've shot several times but I've had a fletching come off 5 or 6 times. 3 of those times I've had them re-fletched at a pro shop and at least once, that I know of, the same one came off again. My question is: why is this happening? I'm using a new whisker biscuit rest and I have blazer vanes. I don't know too much about it but its starting to get a little annoying. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

blazers are notorious for not sticking. I used to use them, but then I started having the same problems. Do like duck said. Try some different glue, but I personaly would switch from blazers to another high profile vane. The duravne Fusions are getting a lot of attention right now though I haven't tried them personally.

Put a drop of glue on the front of the vanes if they don't have one there.

Put a drop on the back of the vane also.
Listen to this bit of advice. If that doesn't work, do like I did, get a dropaway rest and it'll solve fletching issues. Not to mention, it'll tighten up your groups a bit!

I've never had a problem with feathers or vanes through a WB, even with hard helical. Doing your own fletching is the way to go. The shafts and the wraps if you use them have to be clean for a good adhesive bond. I have used 91% alcohol for year with about every vane and feather made and never had a problem. Sometimes proshops get in a hurry and don't take care of them like they need to be. As said above, adding a drop of glue on the tips will help.

Glue on front and back of vanes.I get my glue from my local shop i make sure its the same glue they use to repair the customers arrow with. One other thing i change was my rest from the whisker to the Quicktune 360 Cature Arrow Rest.Never had one problem period!
