Need Advice:
What is the best glue or what ever to keep my darn fletching and inserts in on a Goldtip 400 with 2 inch blazers?

What is happening is after about 5 or so shots thay are coming out in the 3D targets and the vanes are not staying on.

Thanks All!!!

Blazers stick well with goat tuff or pine ridge glue. They do not stick with the fletch tite stuff. I clean the shaft and base of the vane with 91% alcohol or acetone. After the glue dries I put a drop of glue on the front point of the vane and back point of the vane. They don't come off when I do that.

As for inserts I build all of my arrows with hot melt except for my hunting arrows. They are Axis arrows and come with epoxy to set the inserts. Use a q-tip and clean out the shaft with the same alcohol or acetone above before setting the insert.

I have never had a problem with fletch tite and blazers not sticking. I have fletched arrows for myself and friends and the only time I have had them come off is when It was my fault for not cleaning the shafts or wrap good. I use hot melt on the inserts for hunting and practice arrows. If you are one of the picky folks who wants broadheads aligned with your fletching then all you have to do is stick the hot glue gun in the insert for a few seconds and the rotate the insert.

I use just plain ole super glue gel from WalMart for the fletching. The secret is cleaning the shaft. I haven't had any trouble using wraps. I do add a drop of glue on the ends of the fletching. As for the inserts I have been using Tite Bond for last 5 years now. It isn't the fastest setting glue but it is very tough and it is heat reversible. If the blades don't line up or you need to remove the insert for some reason just screw in a field point and heat it up and pull the insert out.

I never had a problem with Fletch-Tite Platinum either except on some arrows I did for a friend. They were the Bass Pro arrows, I think that had been crested. I think the glue was having a problem holding to the paint.

I buy super glue gel at BigLots! You can get 2 tubes in one package, for a dollar! I agree with TOX, just add a drop on the front of the fletch... no problems!

I knew as soon as I posted I've had trouble with fletch tite somebody would post that it's God's gift to adhesives. Maybe I got a bad tube. First one to drive through Franklin can have it. I glued the tube to the southbound Exit 60 sign on I-65 this evening....of course I glued it up there with Goat Tuff :D

You aren't the only person , Jay . I haven't had good luck with fletch tite either. I stuck my tube right next to your tube with a drop of super glue gel . :)

I never said it was the greatest thing. I just stated I have never had any problems out of it. Everyone uses what they want. I have used super glue, fletch tite, and R/C plane CA glue. It is just what you prefer to use. LOL
