Is the private land owner exception for not having to wear an orange vest in effect? I found the orange vest requirement in the TWRA guide but it did not mention the landowner exception. Anyone know for sure?
I've read the book cover to cover and cannot find where it is says land owner exception. It is also not stated in things new this year. I assume landowners exception hasn't changed. As a landowner I will not wear orange.
Persons hunting without a license under a resident farmland owner exemption must complete and sign a statement attesting where the property islocated and how this land qualifies for a landown erexemption. Persons may complete the form in advance and carry it with them while hunting or they may complete the form when requested in the field by a TWRA official or when checking game. A form is provided on page 120 of this guide.Additional forms are available at TWRA offices andTWRA's website (www.tnwildlife.org). Landowners and their children hunting on their parent's land under this exemption are also exempt from HunterEducation Certification requirements and blaze orange requirements.
