Fly Rod time

Just seen this and if it holds true it will be time to break out the flyrods and ultra lites and fill the freezer with bluegill. I have not heard any yet but last round they were so loud you didn't want to sit outside without hearing protection.

I remember years ago when we had a hatch of those here in the southeast. Me and a buddy were fishing on a small lake and there was large trout rising like mad gorging on them. Problem was, when you put a hook in the cicada, it killed it and the trout were only hitting the live ones on the water. So my buddy says he had some glue made to glue a hook to live bait. I was like sweet, it's own now! Seemed like he spent twenty minutes trying to glue a hook to the cicada but he finally gets it done. He opened the bell and went to cast and the dang thing just took off flying like you had a June bug on a string. He tried again and again with the same results. I've never laughed so hard in my life! :rotf:

I woke up mad at my x ol lady one morning. I saw a live cicada on the porch , i snatched it up and stuck it in her purse. I heard about it but to this day she doesn't know i stuck it in there ! She opened her purse , it came buzzing out . Said it cleared her entire office. Women screaming
