Getting excellent photos from a new cam, but all my night photos looks like this. I am suspecting fog.
Any suggestions?

my moultrie does it sometimes, i've noticed it does it either at dawn or dusk, i have my flash set on auto and I think it has a hard time distinguishing if it should flash or not

I do not see anything..looks like a false trigger.
All comm. Cams seem to do it from time to time,my homebrews rarely do it ..however they have.Only Diff. they are black.

It is called whiteout. It happens when the camera fails to shift from the night time settings to the daytime settings or vice versa. Usually happens in the morning when the sun is up and a animal triggers the camera. Camera takes the pic and the ISO is still set at 1200 or 1400. That is the setting they use at night to absorb all the available light. It is also what creates the grainy pictures. When the camera senses daylight it reverts the ISO back to 200 or 400 for the dayime pics. If this is happening alot you have a bad unit and should be sent in for repair or what ever the company will do for you. Hope this helps,

Thanks firemanjim for a good explanation!
I just got it at Wal-Mart, so will take it back.
As I said, the daytime photos are amazingly clear and I couldn't be happier. I'm seeing 4 nice young bucks (that will be great in a year or two) that I didn't know were on the property. The question is, who has been triggering it at 2am and 4am? :)
