Yep, a player for my school died in practice my junior year. It wasn't a hard hit just a perfectly timed hit on him that caused his heart beat to get outta it's normal pace. But it is happening a lot more lately.

Today's premier athletes are so big and fast, the laws of physics can't be ignored. If some action isn't taken to mitigate these incidents, (targeting rule etc.) football as we know it will cease to exist. The primary reason targeting calls are being upheld seemingly more today IMO. (Moseley, Cronkrite )

Very sad. There's a 16-year old kid from Siegel High School in Murfreesboro fighting for his life right now. He's been in a coma for over a week now.
