I cant figure out why or how anyone could go turkey hunting without patterning there shotgun. I know some take it overboard (me) included but i could no way go without knowing my limitations

hahah 2 years ago i watched a guy in walmart the NIGHT before muzzloader season opener with a muzzleloader package in hand talking to his buddy that he will just get it close at home with a laser and it should be fine the next morning.

HAHAHA he also was talking about never having one before but it shouldnt be very hard to figure out.

dude prob blew himself up the next day.

DOUBLE POST:

i will say when i was a kid i didnt really know HOW to pattern my gun so for the first few years i didnt really do it i just limited my shots to 25yds or under.

then again i had NO IDEA what i was doing in the beginning until a good friend took my under his wing so to speak.

I will say that I only pattern my gun when I get a new box of shells ( Nitro's). One, because they kick so bad, and two, becuase I don't want to waste any money on paper when I already know what they will do.

I shoot a few times before each season but haven't shot enough! Had a couple good shots and a couple bad shots at turkeys. I could always use some more practice. I do know that my gun shoots a bit high and left, which is important to know.
