Yep, they've been in the spotlight last week or two, and social media has not been kind to them. Hopefully no one gets injured before they get things corrected.

Our mutual friend wanted to trade a box of his Small Town Blends for a box of my GT20s. Turned out to be an issue with those GT20s. He contacted Apex and they're making it right for him but dang. We pay to much for that stuff to be hit or miss. I've got these 2 boxes of Apex and will be getting with them about replacing them, but once they're gone I'm done.
 
Saw that a few weeks ago. Is rolled ammo safer than those?

If you roll your own, like many of us, AND follow the recipe, ingredients and measurements to a tee, rolling them is very safe. All of the loads I shoot have been lab tested and verified to be safe and under SAAMI maximum pressures.

Yes cause you know what's in them when you do your own and you know you measured each one exact.

How hard is it to learn having now reloading experience at all?

its SUPER easy and nothing like reloading rifle shells. You dont really need any equipment and the directions are easy to follow if you get the shot from Hal or Shooter. they tell you exactly what to put in and in what order.
 
Thanks for the link! A nice little birdy gave me a heads up on some of those issues several weeks ago. I passed on at least one opportunity to buy some. I was lucky enough to score some Federals, so I hope for a post if there are any issues there as well.

I guess I will try my hand at loading some TSS before next season unless Federal can start meeting the demand.

Shot once to test the pattern
2nd shot was on a bird in Tx last weekend.

I have not had any issues, mine seem ok

Seen issues with apex for weeks, I honestly thought it was a bunch of BS. Really disappointed they didn't address this sooner. Bad timing for their story to he down.

Changing things up for this year.... I'm using federal tss 9s in the 20g and stepped up to federal heavyweights 7s in the 10g.

Never understood why folks would pay $3 more per shell when they could do it themselves and have no one to blame if it didn't go bang. The having no one else to blame is probably a lot of it.
