Freeze

Daffodills and Bradford pears are doing their thing, buds breaking everywhere, and several nights of forecasted deep freeze. I thought the woods might be a little more leafed out than last year but now I'm not so sure.

I think some of these species are able to take freezes. But I'm not positive on that.

I think my area vegetation wise is about normal.

Freeze was pretty bad here.... my hot peppers that had made it through the entire winter in pots and just leafing out nicely were killed. All the new growth (and there was a LOT) was killed on my landscape plants (azeleas, philodendron, etc).

It won't hurt the turkey hunting tho... my piney woods are still thick as can be and have tons of cover here
