Just in case I get lucky this weekend, what's the best way to store one in the freezer? I'm going to pluck the bird whole for roasting.

I was thinking clear plastic wrap then freezer paper. I've also seen suggestions elsewhere involving garbage bags to freeze.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

usually don't leave it long in the freezer (October kill held till Thanksgiving for example) so I just wrap it up tight in a trash bag and tie it shut.

In the spring time when I pluck one out, it usually gets smoked within a few days without freezing it.
