Buying an older used bow is like buying a used car. It might clean up nice and look like a classic but you are still inheriting someone else's problems. At least it feels like it anyway.
Trying to eliminate all issues kind of like throwing parts at a car you aren't sure what's wrong with it. Was shooting it today and discovered a few things that need to be corrected:
1. Catch in my release so new one is on the way. Delays the release of the arrow
2. Ordered Sims S-coil Stabilizer / dampner to reduce noise.
3. Waiting on Saunders Buzz-Off Slide String Silencer to reduce noise.
And finally I'm tweaking...Anywhere else and that would sound really bad. I have amblyopia (lazy eye) and am severely left eye dominant and extremely right handed to boot. Makes for a heck of a combination. The problem is I don't see angles the way other people do. I mean I see them but...oh heck it's just hard to see if things are level. This would all be solved if my new sight had a level...which it doesn't. It's a Truglo Brite-Site. Looking at their website the Brite-Site Extreme has a level, so my question is this. Does Tru-Glo make a replacement that I could add to mine? Is there a level attachment for bow sights? Can I take a level vial and "attach" it to my sight...Or do I step back and punt?
