FSU has hired Lawing from UF
Before his two years at Florida, where the Gators boasted two top 15 defenses, Lawing coached the defensive line at South Carolina under Steve Spurrier from 2006-12. During his final season with the Gamecocks, USC set a school record with 43 sacks. That defense was led by Jadeveon Clowney,

The 57-year old also coached defensive lines at North Carolina (2003-05), Michigan State (1999-2002) and South Carolina (1998). The native of Hickory, N.C. also has a solid reputation as a recruiter. He served as the recruiting coordinator for the Tar Heels, Spartans and Gamecocks. Lawing was the lead recruiter for five-star defensive end prospects Byron Cowart and CeCe Jefferson at Florida.

It's a shame after Cowart learned the night before from Jimbo that Lawing was being hired by Free Shellfish Univ., he cancelled his visit to FSU and narrowed his schools down to UF and Auburn. FSU isn't even in Jefferson's top 5?? Might have something to do with his dad's Gator tattoo.... :tu:

Byron still trolling. Lawing still has home visit to Cowart. I heard Cowart loves seafood ,so this works out great!!!! It is really hard to make any inroads for FSU recruiting Armwood, maybe this will be the year.Maybe with Lawing at FSU he doesn't need to visit now. Up to Aubarn and University Felons(UF) to turn him.

Any bad news for the gaytors is great news! If I were the resident lizards I would be worried about the wildfire in Gainesville instead of the match burning in Knoxville!

We are talking about the present and the future but I can see why you choose to live in the past with your program in shambles.

The Vols haven't faired well in either but I see the same excuse every year on here. The ole crystal must be stuck... :tu:

I'm with you Spurhunter, bad news for Gators,I luv it!!GNB is pretty pathetic, only thing he has to hold onto is the past memories of the Gators beating Tennessee. When you brag about beating Tennessee, one of the worst SEC teams for the past several season, well, that is pathetic!Just shows how bad a team that Florida is!! :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

It would make sense... He's a Vol fan and I'm a Gator fan so it would be normal for us to talk smack about our teams playing each other.... Pretty pathetic that you didn't figure that out... :rotf:

Also this coach wasn't stolen from the Gators. He was let go and replaced with a NFL coach. He was picked up by FSU while sitting at home...

He was still recruiting for the Gators. Thats why Cowart had not eliminated y'all yet. Still think he is a silent to FSU. I will say he loves to troll. And does interviews with FSU gear on. Who knows--go to Gators and lose or win at FSU. Hmmmmmmmm.

Oh and thanks for Mickey Andrews another Gator castoff.

Help you out... Wasn't Cowart in the FSU gear... It was Cece Jefferson that did the interview in the FSU gear but left them off his list. None of these guys have a visit schedule for FSU... Here your sign.. :)

Two of them are at FL this weekend..

I have the pics of Cowart in FSU hoodie and shorts and CeCe still has FSU in his list. It ain't over.
During McElwaine's interview with Lawing, Lawing admitted that he didn't want to watch a "Dukes of Hazzard" marathon dressed in bathrobes while smoking cigarillos and drinking Busch Light with the new coach, and that ended any chance he had.

Cowart said during the interview (wearing FSU gear) he was unsure if he would go through with his official visit to FSU on Jan. 30. But with Lawing's hiring, FSU could be very much in the hunt for Cowart once again.

I read that as his visit is scheduled.........

Cowart was told the night before by Jimbo that FSU was plan on hiring Lawing. Cowart the next day eliminated FSU and canceled the visit. Link below and there are several others.

It was Jefferson sporting FSU gear when he eliminated them. Also at bottom of same article.

I see that the Tallahassee Democrat is up to its old tricks. Posting basically the same story on different days. My source is 23 hours old. Yours?
No big deal anyway. Time will tell..

PS. I am thinking of changing my sig line. Here is what I have picked out. Whatcha think? ;)
A Seminole warrior killed in battle is a legend remembered. A Gator lost in battle becomes a pair of boots and a belt.

Here's what I think..... Since I'm part Sioux Indians on my mothers side from SD and on my dad's side from North FL fought in the Florida wars with the Seminole Indians. I'm not a Crimnole and the Seminole lost their battle but the Sioux killed Custer... All of this is a true story Bro and my family is messed up but there's branches on my family tree.... :)

GnB I also have Sioux blood from my grandmothers side.I was born in Rapid City, SD. Crazy Horse and Sitting Bull killed Custer, the Seminoles killed General Dade and his whole command. Seminoles lost some battles but never ,never surrendered or to this day have they signed a treaty. Jimbo will still go after Cowart,CeCe and Beckner. He will not give up .------History 101 for you. Gators on their board seem to remember Cook and Ermon from last year.About one week to go and we will know. Then it starts all over for next year.
This year Cowart wins the Trolling Championship.

I just saw the Gators ranked 100 on the Rivals board.WoW

Dang, never knew that Indian ancestry would be used to somehow win an argument on the sports forum of TnDeer, but it sure is entertaining!
