Ft Campbell new call in times

Just a head up for those that hunt Ft Campbell. The call in times have changed:

Active Duty and dependents: 0800
Disabled Veterans: 0900
Military retirees and DoD: 0930
Civilians: 1030

And who's bright idea was this, JDP?? Why don't they just tell the civilians that they don't want them hunting the Fort any longer??? If they're gonna push them back 30 minutes, the least they could do is come up with a way to stop the active and retired military personnel from reserving areas and not even hunting them.

guess that was the way to make it more fair to everyone.

Well as far as I know it came from the hunting and fishing counsel meeting last month. They were going to do it last year but it never got approved. The whole reason was to give Active duty a full hour due to not having enough time to call in b/c of the PT hours.

lol, I was active duty for 21 years. PT is almost ALWAYS over by 0800, most of the time 0730 to 0745. I NEVER had a problem calling in at 0800 on duty days. That makes no sense giving them more time for that reason. They should have just pushed all the call times up an hour not give them more time. IMO the military reps at those meetings DON'T want anyone but active duty hunting! OK, off the soap box, lol...
