Just got back from chasing Rios in Texas and some of the group had Funky Chicken decoys that were driving longbeards nuts. Didn't get to hunt over one but still got my birds. Bought a Funky Chicken Thur. night and first chance to use was today. Called a longbeard in about 7:30 and missed. Called this one in at 8:30 and made a good shot on a good bird. 21 lb, 1"spurs spurs, and three beards -- 9.5", 5", and 1.5". Anyone else tried a Funky Chicken?

Congrats, cool pic with the may apples. Never tried a funky chicken and probably never will. Good to know it works though. Hopefully less chance of getting shot on public land with one :D

I purchased one this year. Of the five times I've set it up three times I've had Tom's come in and whoop on it. Great decoy IMO.

Congrats on the bird.

On the decoy it's doubtful I'll ever resort to a plastic turkey as a hunting partner, but could happen. But it's a 100% guarantee I will never hunt or own anything called a funky chicken and endorsed by the likes of Michael Waddell.

Never used one but I have had toms whoop up on a pretty boy though. I rarely use decoys but when I have and had success it was worth it to be able to witness such behavior. Congrats
