So I was fishing yesterday and they weren't really busting on my minnow like they have been so I swapped rods and went to the one with 2# test on it and tied on a little fly under a small bobber.
Caught a female and then a male, both were 9 1/2" long.
Heck of a fight on both.
Stopped getting anything so I went back to my other rod.
It is the one that @Sniper made for me. It is The Joker and it is one HECK of a rod. I have 6# test on it. It is my serious put some fish in the bucket rod.
Anyway a few casts later I got a bite.
I set the hook for real.
Fish immediately stripped drag
When a fish pulls drag on that set up, it's for real.
I was thinking here we go, I done lucked up and got another tarp.
I made sure I didn't horse it and finally got her up.
I was like what in the world.
Barely 8" long. LOL
Can't say it was a heartbreaker cause it was one heck of a fight. Sure surprised me though.
