A caller complained that drivers get out of Kyle's way for fear that he's gonna wreck em.....to which I say....does that remind of you of anyone?

I have said before that it is ironic that Jr's fan's hate #18 so. He drives just like #88's daddy.

I think he has a ways to go before I'll compare him to Dale senior. He drove a heck of race Saturday night and I like DW's comment at the end of the race, he said after driving a great race he hopes he doesn't get out of the car and make some stupid comments. Can't believe how good Gibbs have their cars running, he just drove around the other cars and made it look easy.

You are correct. He does have a ways to go before any fair comparison with Sr. However, his driving style and on track personality are very similar to Sr's. The main reason that they are not comparable at this stage is longevity. It is not really possible to compare a proven super star who stood the test of time with a 23 year old short timer. Time will tell. .......but he do drive like him. lol

...... with one major difference . I wasn't a Earnhardt Sr. fan , but he EARNED the respect from other drivers on and off the track . Kyle has not earned any respect .
I still remember when Dale finally won the Daytona 500 , and every team formed a line along pit road to congratulate him . That shows respect for the man , something you will never see for Kyle Busch .

I HATE Busch and loved SR. but I will have to say that the reason for no one ever liking Busch is because NASCAR is full of pansy's now. SR, would have been thrown out if he would have came into NASCAR now.

How do you know that. Do you think Dale had all that respect and would have got everyone to congratulate him if he had won the 500 is his first 3 or 4 years.

Not so certain Sr had the respect of the other drivers either! Sure, after he passed, many let down old grudges...but respect....nah I would say there are many that still didnt care for him at all.

Name one driver who didn't have respect for Dale Sr. ? Like I said , I'm not a Dale Sr. fan or Jr. fan , but I know he had the respect of many .

I realize this thread was posted only to stir up the Dale Sr. fans , so I don't have a dog in the hunt , and I really don't care . I find it amusing to find out that Kyle Busch actually has any fans . :)

Kinda funny that only after he got into Jr., now people are comparing him to Sr., before he was just reckless now he's inteminater. I think the NASCAR commentators needed a new angle to keep the interest in NASCAR since changing cars.

Now or then??? Like I said after his unfortunate passing, racers felt bad over the tragic accident, and let bygones be bygones. But one straight off the top of my head... DW especially after Charlotte.
SR wrecked DW because quote "he passed me in turn 1 on the outside"

I am no way knocking SR... I was a fan of his. I like his style of driving.

The BIG difference I see in SR and Kyle...is Kyle has a wreckless concern for his equipment (as of now...with time he should grow out of that).
SR would try to save his stuff as much as possible. SR would also give you a couple laps, and a bump to get out of the way if he was faster, before moving you over.

There is exceptions and examples to prove or disprove many disagreements... one example: Radar, when your favorite driver started out, do you recall all the BS he had to put up with because he had raw talent, as well as made a ton of mistakes... ALL before going to Rick Hendrick and started driving the 24 car?

Are we going to compare rookie seasons with those who have a few years under their belt and should have learned a few lessons by now ? I think Jeff caught on quick , as well as many other rookies . Kevin Harvick was the same way as a rookie .
Darrel Waltrip also wrecked allow of drivers in his early days . He also became very good friends with Dale Sr. .

I'm not going to defend Dale Sr. , because I was never a fan of him either . I think Kyle Busch is a snot nosed punk , and that is my opinion of him . I'm sorry if I offend his only fan . :D
