I might be late to the party on this one but Andy's red on fried green tomatoes is a game changer.

I went: egg wash, Andy's, egg wash, then back into Andy's for a good 5 minutes then fried. I couldn't stop eating them.

Gotta try that!

It was literally so good I just went and pulled a small one off to fry with dinner lol. Perfect crunch

I bet that was good.
Just never acquired a taste for fried green tomatoes though.

I think you're going to have to coat them in Andy's and give them another try just so you can be sure of that lol. I made sure the coating set in on each slice. Put oil in the cast iron skillet and fried them. I'm thinking of trying it in the Andy's yellow next time but I just can't imagine it will be better than the red was.

I love Andy's on fish, but I guess I will have to double up on what I buy now because it's going on fried green maters for the rest of the summer

What's your favorite dipping sauce? There used to be a restaurant called Micks based out of Atlanta in the hickory hollow mall many years ago where I had my first fried green tomatoes. I have been hooked ever since. They served it with a red bell pepper dipping sauce. It was freaking awesome. I have never had a better dipping sauce for fried green tomatoes and I have never had it anywhere else and I have never been able to reproduce it.
