On November 19th, the firearms opener, I reported my first use of the Sierra Tipped Gameking on actual game. I was concerned about the terminal result. Anyway bucks have been avoiding me like the plague and I haven't pulled the trigger since. This morning I determined to shoot the first deer that presented itself. I took 2 smallish does. The 130 gr TGK worked like I expected. Shooting a 6.5 Skinnyjeans. I'm thinking that the first experience was simply a fluke.

I think with any bullet you can have a failure as there's many scenarios that are hard to take into account. When it happens the first try is when it leaves a bad taste. I don't recall your first experience, but I'm glad you gave it another chance.

Bullet struck a rib and fragmented upon impact. 3 in entry wound no exit. The deer was dead as a door nail anyway.

I dont understand... from your post you shot some deer with a 130g 6.5 bullet at 2850 MV at an unknown distance and the bullet fragmented upon impact???

I have killed a bunch of deer with a 55gr sierra out of a 22-250 on crop damage permits in WV. Rarely got an exit and blood trails weren't great but never lost one. Put it through the heart/lungs and they run 50 yds and tip over.

He stated in his original post from November that it was approximately 40 yards. And yes, it appears to have fragmented.
