Fellers I got $89 worth of credit at Gander Mtn and I'm hankerin for a trail camera. Toward which cam should I aim that $89 (I dont mind throwin some with it) to get me a fairly reliable and real easy to use trail camera?? All suggestions appreciated.

Thanks yall

Another thumbs up for moultrie, its been good to me,and with the one problem i've had with it,Moultrie customer service has been top notch.Only complaint is the slow trigger speed, but I just use mine over salt licks,so its really not a problem.

I'm gonna go against what everybody has else has said and say "Piss on Moultrie"! Mine was a piece of junk. It caught a bullet in the end.

I'd say what UPSman said about MOST of the trail cams being sold at Gander.

Just me, but wouldn't buy ANY trail cam from Gander, IMO, they're all overpriced for what they are, or should say what they're not. If you do decide on a Moultrie, be patient and catch one on sale somewhere in next few months. Between now and July, you're not going to miss much trail cam wise.

Buy some hunting clothes or something else at Gander, and save money for a better trail cam this summer.

P.S. I don't dislike Gander, as I go there and buy stuff periodically myself. Just think they're a little high on the trail cams and their selection doesn't include any I'd want if given a larger selection.

I have the moultrie d40 and truth cam 35 and never had any trouble with either.

spend the extra money and get the cuddyback capture the batteries will last 2 months and you will get all the pics centered

I have two Moultie D40s. Great cameras BUT the LED display is a problem. I can't even read mine now. It's not the batteries being weak either. Don't believe me, call service department and scroll through and there is a separate number to call for the D40 and LCD problems......

Then you deal with someone in the Philappines, not ALABAMA were the company is from....they won't hire locals to do it, but Philappinos, so go ahead and put an American out of work. I won't buy another Moultrie.

They are all made in China! and the cuddybacks by far beat a moultrie

Like I said....Moultries actual camera is good, displays are junk IMO. Below is from the Moultrie website. Look at all the models with problems.....

primos truth 35. My spy d40 stopped working, sent it back. They said sorry we cant fix. I only used it during deer season and took very good care . Im not buying another. They are huge a person or amnimal can spot them a mile away. To many cams out there that are the same price that are better.

I would use my 89 bucks on something else unless your willing to committ quite a bit more money than that.
I agree. You are not going to get much of a camera for $89. Without a doubt, you will get what you pay for.

I got two wildview cams for 100 bucks last year. I have been very pleased with them. I rigged a 12 volt battery to run them. Last for more than 2 months.
