looks interesting from a panoptix livescope perspective. at first i thought, they will never sell many of those until i really looked at the specs. the 10" unit would be an upgrade from the current 9" units due to the higher resolution, which some of the other brands are starting to do as well. increasing screen real estate without an increase in resolution makes for a larger image but a little crappier in finer detail at equal viewing distance.

edit: livescope with the lvs32 would still need the xducer plus blackbox setup.
 
good question. all indications from ad video and news release says all panoptix systems without the need of the blackbox including lvs12. BUT, garmins public relations people suck arse and usually screw up the descriptions.

im just wondering if they will make it available at reduced priced without the UHD transducer.

and it appears that it is compatible with the livescope system, so you would indeed need the lvs32 and blackbox setup. they will be selling without the UHD transducer.

now i dont know if it would be worth the extra cost for a 10" unit over the 9". unless someone wanted the updated g3 maps, 10hz gps antennae, and higher res screen.

Think you can upgrade mapping with the free one yr upgrade from what im told.G3 will be on a sd card when you download it,heard garmin is haveing some troubles with the download but working on it,download came out end of feb
