Here is the scoop on Floridas new OC that gator said was a solid hire, lol :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

New Florida head coach Jim McElwain made a name for himself as a fantastic offensive coordinator during his time at Fresno State and Alabama, as well as his time as Colorado State's head coach.

He better keep his hands in the cookie jar, because the addition of new offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier to the coaching staff is less than inspiring.

Nussmeier's Michigan offense was a mess last year as the Wolverines fought through injuries and ineptitude to finish last in the Big Ten in total offense (333.0 YPG) and 10th in yards per play (5.32). What's more, there's a reason Alabama head coach Nick Saban wanted more creativity when he hired Lane Kiffin to fill the role formerly occupied by Nussmeier at Alabama following the 2013 season.

Nussmeier has experience in the SEC and won a national title with Alabama in 2012, but that doesn't do an awful lot to suggest that he's going to kick-start a Florida offense that's been plagued by a remarkable lack of creativity over the last four years.

Grade: C

Let's show a few more stats that aren't bias and have solid written all over it. Both Coach Mac and Nussmeier stats that include 3 - N/C rings. Why don't you campare CBJ and Debord stats as OC and tell us they are better.... :tu:

But you can find Just as many reports that say his a perfect fit.

And that's what makes these debates fun..... :tu:

#1 variable between Mcelwang and Nusslemyer super stats and championships at Bama? Nick Saban

List those championship stats they had a Colorado St and Michigan. They arent under Sabans wing anymore and their "Championship" stats say so.

Let the games begin. :rotf: :pop: :stir: :poke:

Yeah people are not to impressed by the Guys who have won a N/C with Saban and bama, I'm sorry but it's the truth.

Yeah... Jimbo Fisher, Mark Dantonio, and Josh McDaniels come to mind..... :) More N/C rings and S/B ring.... :tu:

I didn't start this debate but I will be glad to debunk it....

MCelwang and Nusslemyer are not Fisher, Dantonio or McDaniels. What have either of your boys done since Saban showed them how?

And reading these debates makes me :bash: .

Huh. Could have sworn Butch just hired an OC that fits the mould vols are wigged out about. On the other hand, both of the guys getting grilled had higher ranked offenses than Butch's guy. Just goes to show homers can be blind as bats.

I may be wrong but Dooley was at LSU, NC, or at least sec!! What did that prove??

Wasn't Dooley the water boy or the TE coach at LSU. Might be a little different than the OC job. Stay on subject..... :tu:

Spreaking of staying on subject, have either won a championship since leaving Saban, Bama and all of that Bama talent?

One was only gone for a year trying to help Mich. out and the other took a 3-9 team to 10-2 as a HC in his 3 years since he left. You will soon find out what they can do in the SEC without Saban.... :tu:

Don't really know much about MacElwain but he did a pretty good job at Colorado St in three years and having them in a bowl game with the top rated qb and leading wr in the nation. But what do I know.

Ol Mac is burning it up then if he took a 3-9 Mountain West team to 10-2 in THREE YEARS. :rotf:

The other helped Brady Hoke get fired. :rotf:
