I just don't think this team is very good offensively, and tonight they were terrible. Final tally was 29% from the field, 16% from 3, and worst of all, 48% from the stripe. You aren't going to beat many college basketball teams with those numbers. I think they are ranked way too high, and way overhyped by the talking heads. A couple games ago the announcer was talking about this being a Final 4 team. IMO they have a long way to go on offense if that is going to happen. Gotta give the gators credit for playing a great game.

The defensive break downs were far more concerning to me. Well, 48% from the line may be the worst part of it, but still.
Normally, when we've struggled to score our defense has kept it from getting out of control. Not tonight. And, our inability to rebound was atrocious.
Big picture I think this team is capable of competing with anybody. Not the way they played tonight though and rather or not this is an aberration or reality we'll see.

I hope you are correct. I'm hoping it's like a Tour player that shoots umpteen rounds in the 60's then has an off day and shoots 80.

That's the hope. It's just so odd that all of em had an off night all at once. Ought to slap sanctions on the basketball team for that performance.
