Golden crappie

Got a photo of a 11 in crappie that was golden.. Dont know how to post photo if someone will do it for me.. Caught in Lake Okeechobee in Florida . Friend who caught it fishes the lake every day and has caught 10,000 crappie over the years and this is the first for him.

Can crappie cross breed with some of the cichlid species that are invasive to okeechobee?
