I don't usually have issues with killing turkeys each spring, however i am gonna try a new tactic this year just to see how much of a difference it makes % wise. I normally call very little to a bird on the roost in the mornings but i do make a few tree helps and sometimes a flydown cackle with a wing beat once the sun is actually coming up.
I am gonna try not calling at all prior to him flying down and see what difference it will make. Again i am an aggressive hunting but before flydown I may call once or at most 2x very soft and very short just to let him know i am there. Always wondered if that has ever cost me a bird or if it has sealed the deal more then cost the kill.
