I went out after work to shoot and had a good session. I increased my draw weight from 60# to 63# Sunday and today my bow was drawing very smooth. It is nice to start focusing on the target and not having to be concerned about straining muscles and joints. I shot about 20 arrows and quit. It's a good feeling when those muscle groups responsible for drawing a bow get strong enough to where it is a non issue. I guess here in a few weeks I'll kick it up to 65# and start all over again.

I had a great round last night too. I wasn't planning on shooting because I thought it was going to be windy, but as I went out in the yard to let the dogs out I noticed it was calm as he!!. I left the dogs hemmed up and grabed my 101st. I tried something a little different. I usually warm up at 25 or 30, but this time i started cold at 40.

I have a black gander mountain target, and I use the white plastic bottle caps off of like a 20oz moutain dew bottle. us a little pin to stick it in the target. The bottle caps have yet to damage an arrow, and believe me at 40 yards they are hard to hit but easey to see. I have worn the spots off the target.

I only shoot three arrows in a round. I was grouping about 75% in about a 3-4" circle. I drilled the bottle cap like 5 times. The only thing I changed that I can think of that might have made me shoot better was that I have been working on really lowering my front shoulder but not tweaking my elbow. It's a weird feeling, but it really locks everyting in. I love archery when everything is working. Although I do have days when I want to chuck my bow in the creek.
