Just a jake but I was hunting on a place where I didn't think I would even hear a turkey, especially not see one, I heard a couple of toms on the places around me but when a group of 8 jakes came by at 15 yards I sized up the biggest one and pulled the trigger, 16.5 lbs, 5.25" beard

Just a Jake?? hey, nothing wrong with that, he will taste just as good as a long beard. CONGRATS, I'm still waiting for my first bird of the season
