It's getting worse instead of better. 5.2 miles walked. Not a gobble heard. Not a turkey spotted. This is beginning to wear on me.
This was going to be my question too.Boll Weevil":36wkun7r said:Are you at least seeing sign? Scratching, feathers, tracks in the roads?
We're in the same boat. I hunted yesterday and didn't hear a peep. I went all over my 400 acres. Walked over 3 miles. Only a few hens on my cameras. When I showed up yesterday I could not believe the green up. Areas in the pines where I could see 150 yards I can now see 50. I couldn't hunt this morning but I'll be there in the morning. I'm fearful the green up / thick up has pushed my birds off to greener pastures. Literally. I might be at LBL next weekend.muddyboots":2slomzyq said:It's getting worse instead of better. 5.2 miles walked. Not a gobble heard. Not a turkey spotted. This is beginning to wear on me.
