Good luck to everyone braving the weather this morning.

I am taking two boys. One of them will hunt with his father and one with me. Both of them will be in pop-up blinds so we won't get as wet.

Its a shame that the weather has turned, considering the weather we had last week.

I really hate it for the kids.

Not the most ideal weather for taking kids hunting.
On top of the rain, it's pretty durn cold.
At least it is a bonus "opportunity" for the youngsters and the weather is often decent. I'm sure many will have a good morning despite the weather.

Took my 11 y.o. daughter on her first hunt. Waited for one thunderstorm to pass thru, left the truck in a light drizzle, got set up in our blind and hunted for about 45 minutes when another storm started moving in from the west so we skedaddled back to the truck just in the nick of time. Still had a great time, saw six hens in a field on the way home and she can't wait for opening day next Saturday.
