Somehow had some dumb luck this morning on a quota hunt. Had never been in this place until yesterday. I found an area that looked fairly secluded and alittle steeper than the area around it. This morning I walked straight up the ridge and once on top, I stopped to listen. Dumb luck led me to stop within 60 yards of this gobbler. I could literally see it in the tree once it got light enough. I let it fly down before calling, It flew down at about 40 yards but was over a steep hill. I lightly called on a Gooserbat Hillbilly and scratched in the leaves. Before I knew it, it was at 20 yards and coming fast. I really only got to hunt about 15 minutes and it's quite a drive back home, only one bird allowed, but I guess that's fine because shooting one is what your supposed to do right? 20 pounds, 9.5 inch beard, 7/8 spurs
