I still have the same point of view... SMOKE has the guts to say what everyone else is thinking. I did notice how a couple of the HMS drivers avoided real comments......especially the 24.
 
Been seeing quite a few blowouts and stuff over the last couple of years.
This year seems worse.
 
Having races decided by who can keep the tires on their car SUCKS.I want to see the best racer win,not the best tire-saver.Yesterday was the first race this year where the best racer actually won.And I agree that Stewart said what most are thinking.
 
Stewart definately don't care to tell anything but he sure does whine a lot. I agree with JohninKnoxville I would rather see someone that is a consistantly good driver win over someone who is just being conservative.
 
there all on the same tires & there has allways been problems with tire managment,setting the car up properly plays a big part,been watching the races since the mid 60's & they have allways had to change tires for 1 reason or another :) mike243
 
The tires where an issue at this race and I think the drivers should have voiced their opinions. Some drivers are just better with words than others, Tony isn't one of them. Good posibility he might be whining even more as the year goes on because it's looking like he's no longer top dog at Gibbs racing.

Ditto , he used to be one of my favorite drivers , but now I think he is a jerk to put it mildly . When things don't go his way , he is quick to blame others or his equipment . Maybe the other drivers didn't need to blame the tires .
I'd say that 99% of the drivers these days never would have made it during the old days when drivers were tough and muscled the cars around the track .
