One of the best calls I ran at the convention was gooserbats high standard aluminum pot. I had already spent way too much money or I would have carried one home with me. If you're looking for one I highly recommend this call, I think they are $65 on their website.

I didn't try his pots. I bought a Halloran slate. But I did buy his bacon. Sam was an awesome guy his son was great too. Very personable.

Didn't get to try that one but the best sounding one I played was Lon Trice's Acrylic Aluminum.. that thing was awesome.

I have heard great things about that call, but never ran one. How much were they selling for?

Was that the powder blasted aluminum?
It's bead blasted aluminum set over an aluminum soundboard, in a walnut pot.

No sir, he told me powder blasted, looked like it had baby powder on it, sounded like chit to me...

Now Lon's acrylic calls are awesome.... I've got the aluminum and glass both in black acrylic..
Sam's calls and Lon's not in same category if you ask me.. Not trying to bash, just being honest.
