Was wanting to know if anyone uses a GoPro on their gun. If so what moutn do i need for my Mossberg 535? Pics would help also of what you have.

This is true... Thanks
Not sure how good of video i can get from it but i am looking foward to getting some hunts recorded this spring.

they are not good for anything past 30yds really, unless you are hunting an open field then you can push it out a bit more.

They are good if you just want to get some footage of the hunt to remember and edit though and for the price and convince they work awesome.

Having said that I will be hunting with one from time to time depending on the place and enjoy having the video on it.

Just an fyi The Head mount is a little akward at first....i have been contemplating getting rid of mine !!

I use their tripod mount. I took a drill and drilled a hole in my hat brim. Took a 1/4" screw about 1/2" long and a couple of rubber washers and just mounted it that way. It works great. I've been wearing it like that through Grouse season below is a sample of what the footage looks like. Btw language warning for those who click the link, it's not excessive just profanity could be present.

I like that.... What settings did you have it on? I have The 3+ Silver

I have the 3+ black (I think), its set on 1080 W at 60 fps. The big difference I made was using the open back door, it allows full sound to be captured

Never used a gopro, but for most of what I film hunting-wise, I'd rather use a camera with better sound quality and that can zoom in.

Gopro would be great to mount from unusual angles if you have decoys or something that will put the bird right in front of the camera. But do they make a remote controlled gopro or is that another camera? Some of the greatest deer hunting footage ive seen came from remote controlled camera (bow ninja on YouTube) and I've also seen good trail cam/other remote cam videos of turkeys being shot from different angles. Would need decoys most likely so I doubt ill be trying it soon.

The newer Gopro cams like mine have WiFi that will connect to an app on your smart phone and you control it that way. A remote is also available.

The only issue I had with wifi, is that it drains the battery incredibly fast

I had the same experience setterman..bought an extended life battery for mine and a corded microphone it's incredible now !! I have wireless remote for mine that I can attach to my best and I never miss a beat
