3 Sunday mornings in a row I have killed a turkey in time to go to church. Set up on several different birds this morning with no luck. I had time to try one more spot on the way back to the truck. I yelped loud and one gobbled about 300 yards away across the hollow. I hurried down the hill to try and get up on the hill he was on and him and another meet me half way. When I got to the bottom I stopped to scan the field real quick to make sure there wasn't one in it and started to cross over when I heard him strutting and walking down the hill coming right at me so I sat down fast. I shot the one doing all the strutting at about 20 yards, the other one just kinda jumped then slowly walked off.

When I saw the pic, Jackson Cty was my first thought!
that pic don't do those hills any justice either. they are extremely steep. almost straight up, the bottom half ain't but the top half is. that is on the Jackson/Clay line.

Yep. Tough hunting for sure.

The bird can be just "right" there, when he's actually three ridges over, which takes an hour or more to get to him.
